About

Welcome to your twenties, the time when ambition is high, dreams are big, and money is tight. We stay up late, we get up early. We work hard, we play hard. We balance friends, family, and the loves of our lives... and sometimes we balance our checkbooks.

When focusing on making an impression and making it to work on time we find ourselves ignoring the table, the company, and the food we should be enjoying.  As a generation we are caught between broke and making it by, succeeding and falling on our face, and between ramen and filet mignon.

As twenty-something women we are encouraged, if not obligated, to blog our minds and cook our way through tight budgets, relationships, and all the sweet and savory moments that fall in between.

We are Bethany Joy and Whitney Etta. We hope to bring you delicious and affordable recipes, relatable stories, and a little loving.

Bethany Joy

I currently call a small farm house in Minneapolis, Minnesota home.  My best friend Ryan Terry is the love of my life.  My cat's name is Delancey and he is a real love bug.  I am a photography enthusiast and a lover of people.  Like a true twenty-something, I have friends who live all over the country.  I drink red wine and craft beers.  My favorite recipe is peach pie! YUM!I splurge on brie cheese at the grocery store because I eat it almost everyday.  I love cooking because it is fun to try new recipes. Whitney makes me laugh and always encourages me.  I save money by eating in for every meal.  I enjoy cooking for friends the most.  My inspiration in the kitchen comes from my mom and mother-in-law (they are both awesome cooks).

Whitney Etta

I currently call all of Minnesota home.  Solveig Grace (my niece) is the love of my life. My cats' names are Tobias and Deaner and they are crazy kitten brothers.  I am a map enthusiast and lover of travel.  Like a true twenty-something, I have moved three times (going on four) in the past year.  I drink my beer from a glass.  My favorite recipe is shrimp tacos.  I splurge on quality meat at the grocery store because it matters where your protein comes from.  I love cooking because it reminds me of my Grandma Lois.  Bethany makes me honest and always inspires me to see the beauty in everyone.  I save money by clipping coupons (ain't no shame in it).  I enjoy cooking for my sister and brother-in-law the most.  My inspiration in the kitchen comes from my mom (for baking) and dad (for cooking).
